With over forty years of experience to call upon, Ernest Barnes is ideally placed to share their knowledge, skills, and experience. Having served an indentured apprenticeship, David appreciates the importance of knowledge transmission and acquisition within the context of heritage skills; he has an innate ability to share the nuances of traditional craft practices. David’s lived experience of historic brick and flintwork is evident in Ernest Barnes’ dedicated apprenticeship programme, as well as in the range of lectures and CPD events he delivers nationally and internationally.
